Opening of a New Factory

On Bulgaria’s Unification Day, 6 September 2025, Ecomix Ltd. officially opened its new factory for the production of vibropressed concrete products. With this investment, the company is expanding its production capacity. The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and technologies and is also creating additional jobs in the region.

The ribbon was cut by the company’s owner, Nikolay Tanchev. The event was attended by clients, partners, employees of the company, as well as Member of Parliament Mladen Shishkov, Mayor of Hisarya Municipality Iva Valcheva, and Mayor of Zhitnitsa Petya Staneva.

Monsignor Rumen Stanev and Father Boris Stoykov blessed and consecrated the new factory.

“May we have many satisfied clients and employees, and may we continue to increase our production,” wished Nikolay Tanchev and his wife Ekaterina Tancheva at the opening ceremony.

The History of Ecomix

The story of Ecomix began back in 1996 as a family-owned company with a clear goal – to offer high-quality construction materials created with care and responsibility.

Over nearly three decades, the company has established itself as a leader in the Bulgarian market in the production of ready-mix concrete and vibropressed concrete products. This family business has never been simply a manufacturer – it has also been a reliable partner to investors, construction companies, and end customers.

Over the years, the company has expanded its operations several times, establishing itself not only in the region but also on a national level, building a network of satisfied customers and strong, long-term partnerships.

The company began with a small concrete batching plant in the village of Zhitnitsa and a manual machine for producing concrete blocks, with a capacity of no more than 450 blocks per day, as well as plastic moulds for manually casting concrete slabs and other products.

In 2010, the company built a new concrete batching plant in the town of Hisarya, significantly expanding its operations.

In 2017, Ecomix took the bold step of opening its first modern factory for vibropressed concrete products – a factory that transformed its production scale and opened up a new horizon for development.

In 2019, the company built a new concrete batching plant in the town of Karlovo, responding to the growing needs of the region.

Then, in 2022, came another important investment – a new concrete batching plant in the village of Zhitnitsa itself, further strengthening production capacity and optimizing logistics.

And today, in 2025, ECOMIX is taking its next, even bolder step – the opening of its second factory for vibropressed concrete products, once again in the village of Zhitnitsa.

This is not simply another investment, but a symbol of sustainable growth and a step towards new horizons.

At the heart of production in the new factory is a modern vibropressing machine manufactured by the Turkish company ERMAK, combined with a concrete batching plant from the Italian manufacturer SIMEM. This combination ensures consistent productivity and optimum results with every production batch.

This equipment provides:

• Higher productivity – more than 2,000 m² of concrete products per working day.

• The ability to manufacture products in a wide variety of shapes, as well as hollow concrete blocks.

• The ability to produce products in a wide range of colors and color combinations using the COLORMIX system.

• Most importantly – uncompromising quality in every product manufactured.

In other words, this is an investment that opens new market opportunities for Ecomix.

Looking back, from the manual machine producing 450 blocks per day, through the semi-automatic vibropress with a capacity of 2,500 blocks, to today’s modern automated system with a capacity of more than 25,000 blocks per day – we can clearly see the path of development.

A path that is not accidental, but the result of hard work, perseverance, and trust – the trust of our customers, partners, employees, families, and friends.
